I had a friend in high school with a similar story. In the early-50s, before he was born, his grandfather bought a car and dropped dead a few weeks later. His grandmother didn't like the car he'd bought (preferring her own Cadillac convertible) and didn't want it cluttering up "her" garage, so the other car set along side the garage on a concrete pad till Lloyd (my friend) decided he wanted it and got it for his 17th birthday. The paint was all oxidized (sitting in the California sun for 25+ year), the tires shot, but as he said when he entered it in our high school car show, it still had the original oil and sparkplugs in it, and like the story above, under 500 original miles.
