My good lady and I are doing up our house at the moment. It needed a major facelift (and a new roof  ) etc,; and we plan to move in over the next couple of months.

It was built in the 1930s, but had been rebuilt to a modern style by the previous owner. We are giving it back its Golden Era look now, with white tiled bathrooms, paneling, mosaic tiled hallway etc....

I would like to include some 1940s style wallpaper, and here's where I need some help: I have a style in mind, but I can't pinpoint it. It is of leaves, banana, bamboo - I'm not sure which.... The wallpaper would be used sparingly - maybe at each side of the fireplaces in the living room and the dining room.

I'm thinking post-war L.A.: optimism, sunshine, tropicana. But the rest of the house is quite conservative, so I can't go for something too flashy.

Something along the lines of this, but maybe a bit more subtle:

Does anyone now a good source for this type of '40s design wallpaper? Has anyone had any experience of ordering it on line? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thank you.
