1940's Trousers Photos

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any decent photos of 1940's style trousers? High waist, wide leg, nice drape front and back. I've searched through tons of photos on Google, and very surprisingly couldn't find anything useful. People are usually walking, sitting, or have their hands in there pockets not allowing a good photo of the drape and fit.

Trying to get some trousers tailored and would like nice photos rather than just a verbal description.

Thanks guys,
Michael

Don't use photos. Buy 1940s trousers online (you can get thrashed ones pretty cheap) and ask the tailor to copy them in your size.

Trust me, photos never work. There are tons of examples on this website that prove that point.

In that case, I would recommend looking at the various suit threads here on the FL: Show us your British suits - Show us your German suits - Show us your 1940s suits etc ....

They will include lots of nice close ups of details such as pocket design, fob pockets, waistbands etc. Probably better than trying to work from old black and white photos.
