For sale a very rare, large sized, 1940's Hercules jacket. No label but from the graining I would suggest horsehide. There is an interesting plastic lined pocket, for keeping cigarettes or tobacco dry (thanks handymike for the info on that). All zips are Talon and all work well. The lining is a strong wine coloured fabric in excellent condition but there is a a small patch repair (shown) which could be corrected by someone with sewing skills. The hide is in good condition, for its age, but there are some battle scars and worn areas. It could probably use a good going over with Pecards dressing but I have left it as some do prefer to see the patina.
Measurements
Pit to pit: 22 1/2"
Shoulders seam to seam: 19"
Sleeves seam to cuff: 25"
Back collar seam to hem: 27 1/2"
Sadly it doesn't quite fit me so I'm offering it here before it goes to eBay.
