In Germany b&w houndstooth is the default fabric choice for cook's trousers. A complete suit in that cloth looks weird and not very appealing to me. [huh]

Shepherd's Check, not Houndstooth.

I'm not a fan of the optical effects of Ginghams this small, but make it a slightly bigger pattern, and brown rather than black, and I'd bite all your hands off for it.

Agreed on the baker/cooks pants and might want to add this is a great suit if you want to annoy the living hell out of cameramen.

The pocket shape and buttons are great. The sack-coat cut is a little too shapeless for my taste.

Even though the suit was made in 1932 it really screams 1924. Everything about it.
Another custom made suit styled after a previous decade.

Nicely made. I've done a sportcoat in that cloth but couldn't do a suit, much less a 3piece.
