I recently acquired a 1936 Remington Rand Model 1 portable typewriter.
Since I plan to write in Swedish, I got one with a Swedish keyboard.
However, I'm confused.
The keyboard has all the characters I need, except for the exclamation mark.
On my old typewriter, all I had to do was type an apostrophe, go back a step and type a period beneath it. Easy peasy.
But now it appears this keyboard doesn't even have a straight apostrophe.
So how is one supposed to write an exclamation mark?
I realize this might a shot in the dark, this being a Swedish typewriter and all, but thought it would be worth a try to see if anybody might have any ideas.
Thanks!
