Hello

I'm going to a 1920s lounging/pyjama party and am not sure what to wear. Is it possible to buy anything on the British high street that would do?

A lot of styles in PJ's today were popularised in the 1920s...

Chinese silk (or rayon) pjs would be fine - lose and flowing, perhaps with some embroidery.

By the second half of the decade, lounging pjs were even being adopted for beach wear.

Kimonos were also popular. Or you could go for a lacy nightgown or teddy. There were some gorgeous boudoir robes in the era as well.

A nice little lacy boudoir cap or bandeau would be a pretty touch - wouldn't take too much effort to make, or it could be quite elaborate:

Remember that they tended to have a straight cut across the neckline in the 20s - you won't find it as shaped as it was in later eras:
