Posted it over in what are you wearing, but I don't want to sidetrack that with my questions and comments about this one

It has a dimensional brim. 2-1/2 on the front and sides, 2-1/4 in the back. It's very thick and soft, and holds just just about any shape. The bash it pops into is a deep center crease with side dents. It's deeply furry. It has a raw edged brim. The ribbon is similar to the one on my Finchley, in that it's straight across, with a wide center knot with a pleat that goes different ways on the top and bottom.

Stitching and a bit of reeding from original sweatband? Maybe?

^ that's the auction photo, but it shows the fuzziness better

So- I guess my question would be: how old is this? I've never come across anything quite like it, in style, finish, or dimensions.

Dinerman, I must say, it looks much better on your head than it does in the auction picture. Your special touch definitely shows! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Not sure if you were asking a question, but it appears to be late 1920's early 1930's to me.

And yes, it looks MUCH better on your head. :D
