Another Irish member here, hailing from the North Coast.
Can't say vintage is big in Ballymoney but people here still wear clothes they bought 40 years ago.
Never seen anyone in pjamas around town though.
Im glad Im not the only teenager here. :) I'm Hana and Im 16.
Im not exactly new, I'd joined about a year ago but forgot my username and had to set up a new one last night.
I got into vintage fashion after I went to the Eden camp when I was younger.
I'd always liked historical fashions but...
My great-grandmother, whom I'm named after, was married during the war. (Not sure what year) and her brother (or something similar, he was in the family anyway) was in the RAF and managed to procure some parachute silk. Her wedding dress was made of that, so it's quite the epitomy of wartime...
My normal get-up when dressing vintage style is just a simple day dress. Tesco had some last year so I stocked up. My favourite is a black polka dot one. I have a curvy figure so I can't get away with the bigger patterns that were shown in LD's scans.
The dresses look very period when worn with...
I love being pale (much to the dismay of my family) and I find that Garnier spf 50+ milk works really well. It does say that its for sun sensitive skin, but I always claim Im part albino. ;) In my apart of the world we're naturally sheet white but there seems to be a style of going orange/brown.
My hair is naturally curly so i just left it to dry naturally and it came out in curls and waves. Well, that was before I cut it.
I do roughly the same now even though my hair is now chin length and I just cant get it to look glamourous.
It suffices though. :)
