I got my newsboy cap yesterday from hatpeople.com. It's a brown "full cut" and it's a bit on the large side, luckily it's adjustable with a pin and a "built-in" elastic band.
(I know it looks horrible with a T-shirt, but I quickly snapped these 2 pics, I didn't want to change ;) )
It's definitely not low waist. After the adjustments the crotch got somewhat higher, and even like that, the waist of the pants is pulled up to my belly button. Before the adjustment it was a lot baggier.
I recently ordered these from Todd's, and I'm more than satisfied with what I got. The quality of the cavalry twill is superb. The pants were too much on the baggy side for my liking so I had them tightened a bit:
These are size 32, I'm 185 cm and 70 kg.
I can only recommend it!

Thanks everyone! The pictures were taken at the Shuttleworth Airshow and Duxford. It was quite an experience, especially that I got to fly in a Tiger Moth and even do some aerobatics :)
I recently bought a Size 40R cockpit goatskin A-2 jacket. IN short: I'm very happy with it!
I'm 6 foot 1", and around 72 kg. I found that the jacket was a bit large, that is, too baggy. The length was spot on for my liking. So I took it to a taylor who made the chest and the sleeves a bit more...
Hello,
I'm looking for a decent, but affordable reproduction of WWII US Army Officer's shoes.
(Possibly in Europe)
The WPG version looks too glossy for my taste. Apart from those I found these on a French website, but I'm not sure if they are any good...
I've got my Cockpit Z2107G yesterday. It's the same size as yours, 40R that is. Here are my impressions:
The quality of the leather is remarkable, although it's quite stiff! It will take some time to break it in. I've read that one should sleep in his jacket in order to break it in, so I...
It really is rather short, but I think it looks great! That's the way I like jackets to fit. Also, as others suggested, try it with your jeans pulled a tad higher.
That would have made sense, but I've already ordered mine. From ebay that is - the shipping was "only" 50 beans instead of 80-90 from the official site. I don't mind shorter jackets, but if it doesn't fit I can always send it back. Fingers crossed...
Thanks for your reply!
My old Avirex is size 40 and fits me like yours fits you - that's exactly what I need, I like tight jackets. I've also sent my measurements to Stanley from Cockpit USA and he also told me that I should go for a size 40. I'm slightly taller than you, but I guess I'm...
Thanks for the review. Might I enquire about your measurements? My chest size is 39, I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 154 lbs. Size 40 is supposed to be my size, but I'd like a tighter fit than yours. What size do you think I should go for?
Thanks!
Great review, thanks! I'm planning to buy one of these, but I can't go to the store and try it on.
My chest size is 39, I'm 6 feet tall and I weigh 154 lbs. I'd like a tighter fit than the one on your photos. Can you give me any advice what I should go for? I own a 1978 Avirex (goatskin), size...
Thanks for your reply. I agree, it looks very different, but I don't mind as it fits quite well in my opinion. The guy on the picture is me, and it's my size "S" jacket. The one I'm selling is size "L", but it would have been pointless to take pictures of myself wearing that one - I would look...
Hello,
I own a 1978 goatskin Avirex A2 jacket and I just love it. It fits perfectly ,the leather is very smooth - however, it's getting really old and I feel bad wearing it every day and exposing it to further damage.
So I decided to buy a new one. I've heard Avirex has become "Cockpit...
Hello,
I know there's a lot better one available at Magnoli's, but I simply can't afford it. I bought it on ebay, it's cowhide and I'm quite happy with it. What do you think? (If only the hip adjusting straps weren't velcro, but oh well, it's not very visible) The color is a bight lighter too...
Thank you for the pictures, they helped me a lot!
Might I ask another question? It's closely related to the first one, but also something entirely different:
Hypotethically, would a good painter be able to paint such a nose art on the back of my jacket?
I mean is there any special...
I've noticed that too JoshK, it's very interesting.
Nevertheless, I found some pictures of an A-2 used by the 5th AAF which has a cloth AAF patch on its left shoulder:

Thank you for your replies.
As for the Rabbit patch, I've found a picture, where it's clearly visible. it's right under the name tag on the left chest.

As for the AAF decal/patch: I know the decal would be the best...
