I had a similar dilemma when ordering Vincent (similar to HH). My relaxed chest is 38-38.5 and jackets with p-p 20.5 fit the best. Thing with skinny folks is that a tad larger fit looks "big". There just isn't a lot of body frame. Any who, I did get the 38 in Vincent with tumbled cordovan. Gr8 fit.
Daym, potent price increase! understandable. they are still relatively cheaper by a few hundred pounds from what I am seeing.
I am glad I did my mega splurge. I had a feeling something was up lol. My Vincent jacket turned out excellent and was eyeing J100 / Premier 1930s.
J100 - Black...
alrighty, show time!
I ordered 38 in the tumbled cordovan. A proper 20.5 pit to pit and it fits well me thinks. Comfortable right off the hop. Not getting the cardboard feel but just a hair stiff which I am sure will feel better once broken in. Cordo def is a great versatile color. Very happy.
Yea, I am glad I asked for the shoulder measurements ... a 38 is 17.5 shoulders ... my good jacket is 18 in the shoulders and it's not FQHH. That will make me look like wearing a kid's jacket with the seam sitting in on the inner shoulder vs. more centered or sitting outer. Not to mention a...
yea I've been looking there not too many ridleys ... but the ones that are there I get a sense of the numbers. I am getting confirmation from aero about shoulder measurements in the tumbled cxfqhh ... let's what those numbers look like.
do I have this accurate .. breaking in fqhh is like...
Thx @MrProper ... glad I discussed my emergency with the Jacket lords lol
Chloe from aero sent me shoulder measurements for the 38 and it seems like 38 will be snug ... 40 seems to be calling.
Thanks @Aloysius ... I appreciate it.
I think I'll do the tumbled 38. I am reading over seems like this fqhh is super stiff stuff. Kind of like breaking in a 25oz denim ... I was also considering the badalassi russet in that but don't like the upcharge on that ... hmm
@Aloysius ... what hide do you have there?
The rec's I've received from Aero:
size up to 40 if want to keep the Cordovan FQHH. It will be comfortable.
if want to keep 38 .. then go with a tumbled FQHH.
OP, what did you end up going with? I have the exact same problem .. :) 38 chest and going with vincent cordovan fqhh ... deciding b/w 38 & 40 ... I have a feeling 40 will be a bit large once broken in. Shoulders start to pop out based on the pictures I am seeing. Curious what you went with and...
