thanks, i just have quite a clear idea of the proportions i want, based on jackets i own. i wear my trousers wider/higher waist than most here so i find a cropped/boxy shape works best for me.

im thinking of ordering the goatskin trucker. the proportions of the small seem like they would work (im generally an M but the consensus seems to be they run big), except i'd want it 5cm shorter.
do you guys think the patterning could handle it, or is it going to look oddly truncated...

to be clear, i'm not looking for a fake vintage effect as such, more just dulling the brass shine. everything else i wear is silver so the brass hardware triggers my ocd a little. but...
bumping this thread, did anyone ever try this? i find the brass zipper on my aero a bit bright. i had the idea i'd get all the hardware swapped out but then realised how much that would cost.
thanks for the feedback. i don't think there's any singular metric for how casual jackets should fit. in my own view pretty much all mens clothes- suits, jeans, jackets- got way too fitted over the last ten years or so, to the point where its a cliche now. in the 90s things were much less so and...
