It's been a while (since I've been on the good ol' FL, or since there's been a doctor who post, so here I am to remedy both). So I would just like to throw in a little link I found to a blog about Dr. Who costumes. It goes over the various incarnations and the actual eccentricity of them. It's...
I don't know, seems to me that some of the fedora loungers could make a good Holmes movie if given a lavish hollywood budget. Start campaigning Feraud!
merry christmas
The Sherlock Holmes film has come out today to generally positive reviews, however, I haven't seen it yet and was wondering if anyone here had and want to know what they thought of it. I may see it later this week so wish me luck.
This is off topic but I feel it has to be said, pickups are great if you use them like pickups, most of the people I have seen with "truck-nutz" are people that keep their trucks immaculate and don't haul ****.
Besides...they're just in bad taste IMO
Carlisle I must say it always makes me happy when I hear about a father like you!
When I was six or seven my father began working the swingshift at his work so he could spend more time with me. He's the one who taught me how to fish, shave and shoot but he also taught me how to cook, clean...
we have all sorts of costumes, however I think a lot of it depends on age and gender, I know my friends and I wanted to get scary when we were ten and never really wanted to stop after that, but I could be wrong.
the two television specials with the Ewoks were "The Ewok Adventure: Caravan of Courage" (1984) and "Ewoks: The Battle for Endor" (1985). Both specials aired originally on ABC and were available officially on home video and laserdisc, and now on DVD. They used to frequently air on the Disney...
It has been a long time since this thread ended, tempers may have cooled and I think people who were interested should take it up again, even the more confrontational people, I think this could be a fairly interesting discussion to keep going for a while.
Who's with me?
I have also heard that some of the marines raising the flag(the second, more famous, picture) were not the original marines who put the flag in the sand, is there any truth to this?
4.could you explain how wearing this hiking or camping would be disrespectful? I'm just confused, unless there are easily offended mountain goats I don't see why not.
5.I think the blue needs to be dark(I'm assuming this is what you meant since you said ex-navy) but just a word of caution.
didn't realize we were talking board games too (teach me to read before I post next time) but gaming wise I like A&A (miniatures and the regular one) I also like Risk, the good ol' standby.
Also, my dad gave me a bunch of his old games, mostly Avalon Hill, a couple favorites of that bunch...
I love the old medal of honors but I've only been a huge fan of COD 4 and 5 so I gotta say MoH.
I also just bought Batman: Arkham Asylum on the 360, great if you're a comic nerd.
I also was not a huge fan of the new Batman movie (or pan's labyrinth so hey we have something in common) I think my dislike of it was based more on the hype surrounding it. I really wanted to like Ledger/The Joker but I really just didn't. I'm not saying they should bring back Ceasar Romero...
I wish I could say the same for my wrinkle in time re-read. Wrinkle in time itself was still wonderful ( I originally read it in fourth grade) but its sequels did not hold up as well IMO.
