Baron Hats The Kolchak straw hat - Size 7 3/4

I was lucky enough to get one, but I'd buy another. Any plans to offer them again?

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

I'm glad this old thread is still going and the lamentable History Channel fraud isn't.

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

Got the book "Secrets of Anti-Gravity Propulsion". Oh. The title was so promising. I skimmed it for the fun bits and it was jargon dense to an uncomfortable degree. If you're an MIT grad and want a bedside read, grab it. It's the kind of book Sheldon and Leonard would giggle over. I doubt I'll...

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

I'll let you know. I ordered it. Looks like a fun read.

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

I've read Farrell's book(s) and was saddened. He writes well, and includes what appear to be voluminous, footnoted annotations. Then, you look away from the page and realize it's all bat sh-t crazy. It's like chatting with an engaging person only to have them suddenly escorted away with an...

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

The most interesting post-war 'disappearance' of an SS big shot is SS Obergruppenfuhrer (full general) DrIng. Hans Kammler, who at war's end, was in charge of the highest priority secret projects, including the V weapons. For a fun jump into a 'black hole' of mystery, pick up Nick Cook's 'The...

    T&H Hats

Bump...seriously, no one knows what if anything happened to him? His hats used to be favorably mentioned in this forum.

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

That's not far off. To date, none of the 'on air' folks has displayed much knowledge of Hitler, the circumstances of the final days in Berlin or much common sense. 'Superficial' is the byword.

Why were the Germans so bad at espionage?

The Nazis were as adept at espionage as they were with diplomacy, weren't they?

Hunting Hitler on the History Channel

That is one of the funniest theories/stories I ever read! It's almost like kids trying to top one another with the biggest made-up yarn.

    T&H Hats

Whatever happened to Tim Bender? I have a half dozen very nice hats that he made and now can't find him except for a ghost Facebook page. I hope 'ghost' isn't the operative term....

Not a clue about the hat but would love to see the 'Fat Man' wiring diagram. Likely to have many warnings about mistakes?

    USAAF crusher caps

Not familiar with anyone peddling 'crushed' crushers. Most of us bash them in ourselves. A good soak in cold water, some vigorous kneading and a good drying out and 'voila!'.

    Roller Rinks

We had one here in Norther Kentucky, near Cincinnati, called Recca, in Alexandria KY. My kids had birthday parties there and we all skated. And discovered previously unused muscles the days after.

Pants to go with my A-2

Eastmans were nice heavy material and good color. (Note, mine were purchased several years ago. Assume they're the same now).

    Hitler's Car

Agree with posts that describe the Nazi regime as a 'kleptocracy'. It was a murdering crime family that took over a nation. Yes, Der Fuhrer seems to have parlayed that one book (Wasn't there one sequel?) into a royalty motherlode. Does anyone else suspect 'Mein Kampf' was like a holiday...
