Nice prices. My concern...and it possibly shows my lack of knowledge in this era...is that all the ones I looked at were 100% polyester. Had they been 100% wool, I would have been all over them.
MK, Matt...thoughts on the polyester issue?
Thanks.
Best,
Chris
Hey...they let me in, and what do I do? Post about "Oscar" with Sylvester Stallone. I'm just waiting for my membership to be revoked, then I'll wind up like Dan Aykroyd in "Trading Places." LOL
I'm certainly glad I found this (and IndyGear)...I've always loved the style of the...
ITG,
I agree. It is most certainly not a classic...or even a good...movie. It is definitely STILL a bad movie. But for some reason, I always enjoy watching it. Go figure. Maybe it has something to do with my fascination in the era and clothes (although I somehow think that the costuming could...
Gents (and ladies),
Was watching one of my favorite comedy movies last night. It's so bad it's funny, but for some reason I always wind up watching it when it comes on. Hold on to your fedoras...
Oscar (Yep...the one with Sylvester Stallone as "Snaps" Provolone)
Until now...

A lot of the info comes from research (reading regimental or unit histories, photos, film, etc). The one really nice thing about WWII Living History is the fact that many Veterans are still with us. The ability to talk with them is a great advantage over, say, reenacting Civil War. The...
MK,
I'm involved in WWII reenacting and Living History here on the East Coast. I belong to a couple of American units (Airborne and "Leg" Infantry).
For those interested in AAF impressions, if you're out this way in June, I suggest attending the Reading (PA) WWII Weekend. Usually the first...
