Uncool, dorky things you won't be caught dead in

Opinions vary i guess, I remember seeing a guy in sandals waiting to be interviewed for the same job I was being interviewed for, I remember doing a double take and thinking “that’s…bold.” we ended up both getting hired. Mind you the work was low wage.

It’s a good thing I accepted the fact I’m a dork years before I started wearing suits.

I respect that completely, it made me sad when I read somewhere that wearing a suit to a job interview could set off a red flag to employers in some industries. You would think they would respect the fact the potential hire went the extra mile to look presentable.

They still serve a purpose in my completely biased opinion. weddings, funerals, formal events, nice dinners ect.

Had to look that up, doesn’t seem like practical footwear but not my culture therefore can’t judge.

The insole is very strange, is it supposed to massage your feet?

Heard this early morning on a local easy listening station, think an elderly gentleman requested this.

Law culture seems rather conservative so that doesn’t surprise me.

Completely agree on that last part, as much as I admire fashion from the past back when folks dressed well no matter the occasion…I’m glad I can atleast dress sloppy if need be(although it’s not my preferred way of going out.)

    Bring me baggy trousers!

As a narrow waisted fella finding a baggier cut of pants is very difficult. My interest peaked when I bought a classic fit pair of haggar slacks for a 1950s musical production I was in years ago when the slim fit trend was just starting. Been exclusively baggy slacks ever since.

I Have to play a bit of devils advocate, As someone who wear’s the male equivalent of sweatpants from time to time i can’t deny they are incredibly comfortable. Chance are there friends wear them as much as they do.

Uncool, dorky things you won't be caught dead in

I really try to be open minded and not judge others for what they choose to wear (some people most definitely think I dress like a dork.) but my gosh sneakers with a suit is a terrible fad with young men such as myself. I understand dress shoes aren’t the most comfortable at times but adding...

Will definitely check that out, I don’t have a clue what my hat size is, will have to do that pretty soon.

Interesting, I’m thinking a grey hat with a navy hatband would go perfect with it.

Thanks for the suggestions sir, Whether the hat is vintage or not doesn’t necessarily matter to me aslong as I like the look of the hat and I think it looks good on me. The Akurba is definetly on my radar never pictured a grey hat to go with the suit but you might be on to something.

Hello folks, Just a young fella who got into vintage menswear recently and was looking to obtain my first fedora, preferably looking for something that goes with a navy pin striped suit I’m currently acquiring and would love some suggestions on colour and style of hat to compliment the ensemble?
