I’ve got a pretty cool vintage Brooks cafe racer on the way in a size 42. I know this is going to be too small for me but it was a killer deal so I grabbed It. Should be able to sell it cheap. I‘ll post a pic in a day or so.
I’m in Maine and my daughter is going to school at Quinnipiac in Connecticut. I’ve got a road trip coming up for parents weekend. I’ll try to stop in and check out Howard‘s and report back in.
Yeah, I think we’re getting into a PPE/PPG conversation about motorcycle jackets. Personally I like a short jacket or vest and a pair of shades but to each their own.
Thanks for the info Panda! I assumed it was made by someone who knew what they were doing. It’s funny, I’ve spent a bit of time on here lamenting the lack of V taper on some jackets and I finally get one and it’s too tight around my waist lol.
Walter Dyer size 44 motorcycle jacket. Thick heavy leather with some character. Overall this jacket is in impressive condition with a nearly new looking zip in liner…except for two things. First there is some sun fading on the back of the jacket. Either the prior owner always rode with the sun...
Unknown maker, made in USA black motorcycle jacket. I was really hoping this was going to fit because the jacket is outrageously cool, very well made and in great condition! It’s got a fairly dramatic V shape and is on the shorter side but not matador or bolero short . The chest and shoulder...
Champlain Leathers Burlington Vermont USA fairly heavy leather size 44 overall great shape. I don’t know much about this company but there are a couple of threads on here and at least one user was a fan of their work. This one has a cool two way YKK main zipper, leather lined pockets, excellent...
Are the new sizes simply off in the way that the 118 vs. 618 are or have they made changes to the actual cut of the jacket? I love my Schotts, but in a perfect world they’d have a little more drop to the bottom hem. I wish they’d take one of the Perfecto models and give it an old school V cut...
Thanks for the update Aloysius! I’m going to be down in New Haven Connecticut at the beginning of next week and may attempt a swing over to Schott. I wish their premier party for The Motorcyle Riders movie was Monday instead of Tuesday night. If I make it over, I’ll comment my thoughts on the...
As a Perfecto wearing, Triumph riding old rocker, I really like the look of a well decorated jacket. I’m not going to sacrifice my 613sh, but have been looking for a good older 613 or 618 for the project. I’ve collected a good selection of patches, studs and pins! I don’t think my current sewing...
I think with a little tone up around the middle, your jacket would fit perfect. Nothing like a slightly snug new leather to help renew your fitness goals.
I really like the 642 and 643 patterns and prefer the look of the silver hardware over the bronze on the 689. I’m wearing a 44 in most...
