Attempt three at immaculate 30s fingerwav-y bob. Almost nailed it! Please don't mock my inability to look sweet or happy in a photograph, I suffer from chronic b**chface.
Well despite being a not-very-closeted closet goth I'd have to say that I'd take Louis in poorly selected gloves over Marilyn Manson any day! Lol he's not looking as nice as he used to! Louis is a honey!
Oh curling tongs is a curling iron, sorry. But yes, duckbills are also your friend! Also I totally agree with dmoran227, my dry frizzy hair is colour treated and gets hammered with product and irons, but the reason why it's still in good condition and looks nice is because I only wash and style...
My name is Cecil, but I changed it to that legally when I was 19 so I kinda cheated :P
I work with volunteers at a maritime museum who are mostly retired sailors etc and are around 70+ years young...if I had a dollar for every time someone said "Cecil is my father's name" I could probably...
Keep practicing fingerwaves, clabbergirl. My hair is naturally VERY frizzy and curly but setting lotion + fingerwaves = fine. Pincurls are a bit harder to get a smooth result but it's not an overwhelming obstacle, women had frizzy-ass hair in the forties too!
Also there's always the option...
Ha! That's a good one. and I LOVE YOUR TUMBLR!!
Oh and Portland eh. I had some kind of internet romance with a PDXer...if you meet a 5'8" Chris who ties a good tie, sock 'im for me. lol
I agree with the sentiment that it's often more because you look different than because you're wearing vintage. I copped a lot more flak during my goth/punk teenage years. Depends on where you are too, in the areas where I live and work nobody bats an eyelid, but if I go out to the sticks plebs...
:D thanks guys!
I made them with my fingers, setting lotion, a comb and wave clips. I've got a handy-dandy fabric drying hood that attaches to any hairdryer, it's brilliant. I'm guessing that any beauty store would have them.

That's the best...
