I'm admitting defeat. I bought these boots new from JK in WA, had them shipped to a friend who lugged them over to Europe for me, wore them for 2 weeks and finally had to admit... They're too big for me.
I wear a 42 EU so I'd guess they'd be ideal for a 43 or 44? I'd suggest going on the JK...
Thanks for all the helpful, and also unhelpful, responses.
I'm sending it back soon anyway because of a zipper failure so I did write them about this as well. That was only yesterday though, haven't heard back.
I did wonder if it was possible to simply sew a tiny bit of thick but soft material...
A few months ago I bought my first new leather jacket, an Aero Leather Sheene. The jacket is great and I'm very happy with it except for one small thing.
When I wear it open with thin shirts the edges of the inside pockets line up exactly at my nipples and rub them in a very annoying way. I...
Hey Willy,
For me it's loose. But I think this model is sized a bit for bigger guys anyway. It's hard to tell, it's about two sizes big for me in general...
This is a beautiful horse hide Schott jacket, 689H size 44.
I picked up this jacket a while ago and it just doesn't fit. I think I'm probably a 40 in Schott sizes, despite what their online guide told me....
It's in great shape except for some reason the previous owner cut the buckles off the...
So today I had a very brief chance to try on a Schott Cafe Racer in 40, not sure what model exactly. That seemed a much better fit. I didn't have time, but I wonder if the 38 might have even fit...
So I was way off thinking I'd fit a 44. But, at least I barely spent any money on it.
My plan at...
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm going to fix it and sell it.
And in the meantime I'm shopping for another jacket.
Can anyone recommend a similar style jacket with a much slimmer profile?
Yeah very odd. Wonder what he was thinking to cut them off.
I wonder if this cut just isn't really for my body type then. I have a feeling by the time the waist would be right, ie 2 sizes down or so, it'd start to be tight on my shoulders. I guess I should just see if I kind find a Schott store...
One thing about that option is I'd also feel better about selling it if I could replace the adjusters with official Schott ones.
And maybe with the adjusters it's livable and I'm still only in around 250 euros for a beautiful coat. I have some pretty puffy sweaters so maybe I can just keep it...
I just picked up a beautiful Schott 689H for 120 euros. Problem is it's one size too big. At least. Shoulders feel almost right but it's quite a bit too big everywhere else, which makes it comfortable to wear actually. By the way, this is the size the Schott website suggests when I put my info...
Just picked up a beautiful Schott jacket which was, seemingly, very lightly used by the previous owner. They did, for whatever reason, cut off the two small belts for the back, so it's not 100% original. You wouldn't notice if you didn't know they should be there.
It's slightly too big for me so...
