DAMN if this were longer…. (I would have already missed the boat)
A bit tempted by the following but put off by the white restitching and reline. Anyone know who made this...
Wondering if it is indeed quite particular to Schotts, and indeed Becks, not to fold down when fully zipped up, at least without weird asymmetry. I know schotts have unusually small lapels as compared to other classic cross zip designs, which places the zip further from the shoulder and closer...
While some cross zips (e.g. my Cal repro and most British Lewis types) can zip up all the way with the collar turned down shirt collar style, most schotts in my experience can only be fully zipped with the collar ‘popped’, which is good for wind and rain but less versatile!
I find it hard to get into post-apocalyptic survival of the fittest scenarios because my desire for community/pleasure/not having to attack someone with a machete for water all outweigh my meagre desire for survival. After some consideration I will wear a crisp linen shirt paired with jeans and...
Superdry Dry collection (Japan made) Type II. Aging is a bit OTT for my taste but it’s hard to find any accurate Type II styles, Levi’s or otherwise, for under £100 so I was very happy to snag this on Vinted for £30!
I just had one of these for less on classifieds (it had been tramp stamped though) but sadly it’s gone via ebay. This iteration seems small even by Schott standards though, mine was more like a 34.
Though it hasn’t stopped this very optimistic asking price for the worst GB I’ve ever seen: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116043733370?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=YErWQafZQtC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9G0TgC0oTh6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Late to the weird orange fibres party but could these in fact be the hairs of the hapless cow/horse that became this jacket? Someone more knowledgeable about leather can weigh in on whether the hair follicles are included in the layers used to make leather but given that we can see the pores in...
Catch and release because I refuse to learn that I don’t like mandarin collars once they’re on me. Maybe I have a long neck?
A good weight hide on this jacket (heavier than all my Schotts at around 5lbs), which is cut for a more athletic 36 than me (bigger shoulders, smaller tummy). An early...
Yeah really delighted with it. Not sure my other Schotts will get much of a look in now (except possibly my very heavy 94 618).
While I’m here, can anyone shed any light on this particular riddle? Jacket seen on eBay but it’s the label, specifically the region of manufacture, that I’m curious...
Having found my forever 125 it’s time to thin the Schott/beck herd. This is a great 618 with advantages of both the 70s (no footballs, unbranded snaps) and 80s (no pleather), though it runs smaller than my 90s version. Some slight fading and the ghost of a Harley tramp stamp!
