Thank you so much. I can be too reactive. Gotta work on that. I think I'll take a break from here. Too much drama. I can reach folks I need to elsewhere. Catch you later friend.
You're right, that wasn't cool. Did you see what provoked that response, though? Not a very friendly inquisition from someone I've never interacted with before. I've since apologized.
Thank you Biff. I find out results of a major exam that I studied for for a long time so I can be licensed to practice my profession in the state I live in so I would say I'm on edge and wanted to get the advice of experienced and friendly members about my jacket. Nothing more, nothing less...
I did it the way aero told me to. holding the cuff in each hand and stretching my arms forward. the leather is not very thick but it is stiff and it molds immediately and takes a shape right away. I was shocked and very pleased, but I am worried that the leather will contract again. If it does...
So after some stretching of the sleeves the aero I received yesterday is everything I had hoped for and more. That being said, I’m not wearing it for an admittedly lame reason: I coordinate my jacket selection for work based on the weather. It may be a function of my OCD tendencies. Or rather...
I stretched the sleeves and they feel great now! Whew! Grateful to Marc for the suggestion. Would have never occurred to me. You learn something new every day!
Holy moly the stretch actually worked! I still maintain that a discrepancy of over an inch is unacceptable but if the sleeves can manage to stay close to this long I’ll be happy. I have weirdly long arms which really helps me in sparring but is a real pet peeve with jacket sleeve length.
Maybe...
Says nothing about a table. And I can’t see how it makes no difference. Either way, this is woefully short of 26”. I’m not remeasuring this 50 times over an 8th of an inch. I have a job and three kids and this is getting ridiculous. Aero told me in emails to do it hanging.
Read it and weep. Aero is saying this is how they measure, which is basically around the curve without saying so, and it’s still 1” short. Will see what they say.
Also, cant find my red tape measure that is more legible especially against black but this one works. Had to tape it to the precise...
I would like to say the customer service response I've gotten from Denny has been fantastic. I'm really impressed with that, and it makes me feel a lot better about this purchase.
That's interesting, and it explains why I prefer my sleeves a bit long. Can I ask you, what is the relationship between the curvature of the sleeve and the length required? Why does it seem that this woefully short sleeve still comes close to fitting properly?
New in town. Interesting. Quite the aggressive tone for someone who hasn't been here long.
Like I said, another inch would have been great. 25.5" would be perfect. See my post above. I'll post photos of the actual length shortly, since my credibility is now in question from someone who has...
As usual, you make excellent points and have the photos to prove it.
Personally 25.5" would have been perfect on this jacket given how close it fits to how I would like it to. I will come back with a photo of the length to confirm it for the record but I have noticed that on jackets with well...
Its so upsetting. I have to wait another 2+ months? They are telling me to wear it and then will charge me a fee for the remake because they insist it's 25.75" but they don't provide photos. The jacket is truly superb except the sleeves are far off.
I will return with a photo confirming how far...
I specified 26" and got 24". I waited all this time and spent all this money. The jacket is gorgeous but they screwed me. It costs a ton to send back and then shipping this back and forth and to the next buyer is terrible for the environment. It's a small drop on the bucket, but still. I guess...
