Unsung looks to be a really good option, Kblake posted his pair in the Engineer boots thread and also almostvintagestyle has a pair, they're probably some of the nicest boots I've ever seen.
Another Sears label I haven't come across before, Boyville, that zipper stopper at the bottom looks like an earlier one. I'm really into these wools lately but I haven't found one for myself as of yet.
Seems to be a label for kids, but the measurements look close to a 36-38.
Thank you so much for sharing these images, after viewing the Sears catalogs, something caught my eye and I remembered another jacket I missed out on. I was bidding on it, looked like a quality wool jacket, but I've never heard of the brand, it had a crown zip as well. But now I see in this...
Here's another Topline I found with a very basic design. Looks like an unrefined A-2 to me, and I have less doubts about the authenticity of this one due to the wear and use of a crown zip, what do you think?
That does make a lot of sense and would explain the price and condition. I've attached the full set of photos. Interesting, the YKK zip looks very weird to me.
Saw this one on a Facebook group. I think the poster mentioned that this button up crossover style is common for Australian jackets of the era. First jacket I've seen of this design, seems like a cossack and aviator mix to me, really beautiful. Somewhat similar to the following jacket but also...
Easily my biggest regret is not getting this Sears Topline, sold for a crazy price in this condition about $280 (looks pretty much mint, save for a small hole in the leather)
I meant lightweight like linen shirts, or a shirt jacket, something like a packable UV layer would fit, I have some Kapital cargo pants with a massive pocket and my jacket just barely fits, with the monkey pants it should fit it easily as the pocket is much larger.
In summer I wear long layers...
Thanks for sharing, having learned about the original intent of the pocket, I can definitely see it as a viable spot especially during summer to go bagless but still carry a light shirt/jacket and be able to tuck it away. I usually wear a light jacket or shirt for UV protection which doubles as...
Got this Lewis Lightning from Marc a while ago, first time wearing it, I've dropped about 20kg since I bought it but I'm enjoying the shorter and relaxed fit. The lightweight leather is very suitable for Spring weather!
As a cheapskate, I don't shop at the international denim stores, the prices are higher and I am not local to them so it would just be online shopping anyways for me and I can't try them on nor would it be particularly easy or cheap to return for sizing.
So for me, the difference is that other...
I recognised a similar pocket design from this wool and leather combination jacket as worn by Johnny Depp, same maker? Second one has straight pockets.
What fabric do you like the best? I haven't touched heavy denim since I first started getting into denim but it was a cheap Chinese brand that didn't really impress me. I've been interested in trying one of Iron Hearts 21 oz or 25 oz since they get so much hype.
Iron Heart International really pushed hard to make themselves basically the exclusive distributors other than some other select denim stores that charge similar prices. They also made it so none of the stores that sell Iron Heart domestically in Japan can ship to international customers. Prices...
