I just learned something today. What I bought that was listed as a 1948 Stetson Whippet with w 2 3/4" brim and a larger edge bound trim than other Whippets, may indeed be a Vouge instead of a Whippet. Good to know. Nice hat.
I am amazed that so many hat guys jumped on this fellow for asking a question. I didn't know there are high-minded hat snobs here. We are blokes who like hats. Not everyone is an "expert," so there is no need to be snobbish, arrogant, and rude. Peace out.

Stetson Whippet Liner, Beach Comber on sweat band, 7 1/2, Bound brim 2 1/4, cream color. I am confused just what model this is. Says both WhiStetson Whippet Liner, Beach Comber on sweat band, 7 1/2, Bound brim 2 1/4, cream color. I am confused just what model this is.
I just won it on Ebay auction. I was certain I would have gotten outbid. It looks pristine, so am not sure why it didn't go higher than $133. Any idea what era it was made? I am not a Dobbs guy, so am not familiar with them. Thanks
