Oh interesting, so the goat would be smoother than the reverse?
I'm also considering getting the sleeves lined, but not sure if it's wonky. Or maybe quarter lined?
Ok, I'm narrowing in on my next project - gonna do this one in an unlined seal brown, and I'm trying to figure out the best leather. I'm looking for something heavy enough to drape well but still be comfortable unlined.
My question is - which leather would be best for an unlined jacket like...
Thanks!
Soaked in warm water for 20min, rolled it up in a towel to get most of the water out, tumble dry with towels for 10min, wore it around the house for an hour, let it dry on a hanger overnight.
I should probably condition it with something, huh
Hey gang, ok I'm back with another harebrained idea...I'd love to take inspiration from this Sugarhill and create a custom western type 1 style trucker in an unlined leather. I really love the east west style of this jacket, and I might tweak some of the details to be a bit more wearable.
I'm...

I think a lot of the creasing is caused by the large and low armhole rather than the sleeve width
Thank you! Yes that's the plan.
I'm struggling with the arm opening and sleeve width/length. Like someone mentioned earlier, the truckers have a higher and smaller arm opening, which I really prefer. I think Shawn modeled this one after some vintage jackets, and the arm hole ended up huge...
