    SPF 100

Does anyone have a face sunscreen they can reccommend that doesn't make your face look shiny? I've tried "oil-free" facial sunscreens, and they still leave my face looking super-shiny. My skin is naturally oily, so that is also a factor.

Hello, and welcome! I look forward to seeing more posts from you. :) I don't know anything really about men's clothing, but I'm sure if you looked at the posts in "Suits," 'General Attire.. ," and the like, you would be able to find more information. Also, if you start a specific post in...

    Vintage Makeup Favorites

I don't know if you have visited the OPI website, but it is at: http://www.opi.com . I don't think they are that much, I seem to remember seeing it sold in chain stores like K-Mart. ;)

    Sin City

I'm reviving this thread just for the fact that I watched Sin City for the first time last night... It seems there are mixed reviews, and overall I really enjoyed it. I loved the fact that it was a comic book but as a film, there were some shots where you could tell that they paid so much...

What do you do for Living?

I am a full-time student, majoring in Psychology and Social Behavior and (perhaps) minoring in Art History. Don't ask how the two are related, I'm not sure myself; lately I've been thinking of going to graduate school for Museum Studies. I'm also an office assitant on campus, which isn't...

The Cleaning Clothes (vintage or other) Thread

Hi all, I have a question... I have a dress that belonged to my step-grandmother, which she had owned since the 1940s. I'm not sure of the material, I just know that it is very light and is not cotton. My stepmom and I were wondering what would be the best way to clean it-it is slightly wrinkled...

    I need Doris Day Help

I'm a little confused... where on the tie does it say that it is a gift from Doris Day? If it just said it on the price tag, I would suggest asking how the employees knew that it was a gift from her. If there is a note attached with it somehow, I doubt that she would sign her full name, "Doris...

    Has anybody seen this?

Yes I have, my boyfriend (holzkopf) is a WWII reenactor and he showed it to me, I believe he said that the men in the movie are reenactors. It appeals to me more than most of the music videos that are out there.

    In Memory...

That is a really beautiful story, Lauren. It brought some very lovely, happy images to mind. Kirk sounds like a wonderful man and a genuine human being. I'm very sorry for your loss, his influence in your life is obvious and I know you will remember him fondly.

~Recreating Hair styles of the 1940s~

Thank you for your response, jitterbugdoll! How exactly would you create a roll without using a rat (using your hair alone)? I think my hair would be thick enough, but I have never tried it before (not even the backcombing) so I'm not quite sure where to begin. Thanks again, I think I...
