    Sears Motorcylce Jacket History 1949-1963

The seller describes the jacket as a steerhide Hercules; I think that's true, since there seems to be one of those small leather-type labels attached to the main, bigger one. I would not exclude that some of these were horsehide.

Montgomery Ward (Windward) Motorcycle Jacket History 1947-1963

A quick side note on labels. The Brent and Fieldmaster labels where both already in use in the early 1940s at the latest, but on different type of products (shirts/hats and hunting clothes, respectively); they were later extended to other garments. MW FW 1941-42: SR FW 1940-41: Something...

It's a very high end menswear shop, more focused on bespoke tailoring and things that go with it than on the more Amekaji/workwear aesthetic popular on this forum. I have never visited Brio (or Beijing in general), but I doubt they sell Bronson. Here's a 2015 article on the store...

Montgomery Ward (Windward) Motorcycle Jacket History 1947-1963

The japanese shop where this Brent was sold (https://vintage-mushroom.net/?pid=119644541) dates it to the 50s, so I guess this Brent label could be seen as the MW equivalent of Sear's Fieldmaster: it appears in the late 50s, right after the Windward one, and some labels show both names (as it...

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

Closest match I found is this Simmons Bilt, from one of Rin Tanaka's books: This one is probably an earlier example, judging by the zip stopper (the D-pocket and cuffs design are slightly different, too).
