I've got a great Akubra work hat.
And a nice stetson dress hat. Realized I didn't have a leisure hat for those in between times when I'm out working or dressing up.
Enter the stetson Morgan or "vector one" in sage green.
This was my first online purchase, the brim came a little wonky as you...
It was definitely a pain.
I can still kind of see the pinches so I am going to keep at them and the brim is just a small touch low on one side so I need to rectify that but I am definitely happy with the fit and general look. It tightened the hat up some on my head and I needed that. I feel...
How old is the one you purchased on Ebay? Is it possible the felt isn't thinner, just broken in, compared to your brand new one.
My Akubra new was like a rock. The more I beat on it and get it wet etc the softer it feels.
Swore I wouldn't buy a second hat.
My Akubra is great around the farm and in the woods etc but I went to town with the family the other day and it proved a bit cumbersome sooooooooi present to you my new Stetson Stratoliner S.E. in Sage
WOW. What a great hat.

Excellent advice. It's raining right now actually. I just have no business out in it so I'm staying dry .
I think I may allow the hat to settle and become "mine" before I start to mess with it.
I am glad to hear I can't really mess it up too bad. Worst thing I can do is give it character.
The...
You essentially confirmed everything that was keeping me from doing it.
Thank you
I like it as is too. I've just never been the kind to leave well enough alone.
I am also a minimalist and refuse to own more than one of anything, I buy nice stuff and make it last....if I don't use it everyday...
Was thinking of rebashing my new Akubra into more of a Gambler style crown. 1st pic is how it came. Second pic is the hat flipped around backwards just to try to get a taste of no pinch
3rd pic is how I would like the crown.
Will it look okay with this brim style as opposed to the traditional...
