I agree with what everyone has said. A great idea but they needed to alter the pattern for leather. The fit is absolutely terrible. The model shots look like a kid playing dress up in grand dad's jacket. A really bad Ship John copy. And in their YouTube video announcing it, they tried to sell it...
Thanks! It looks better in direct sunlight. CF Stead according to their site:
The Front Quarter Pull-up Horsehide by Charles F. Stead is made by selected European Full Grain horse hides tanned with Steads’ traditional garment tannage and finished with a blend of “classic pull-up” waxes. This...
I specifically asked for it on mine since I have some jackets where the bottom section of the liner is certainly showing wear. Not sure if Greg makes it standard on particular builds. Also, I don't see a print on the outside of the leather from adding this. So you should be good to go.
I got Brown Pony when they ran out because Greg thinks I'm a cool dude. How many times you going to bring this up? This is the virtual extent of going outside and yelling at clouds. Get over it broooooo.
Thank you. The jacket turned out great. Who originally made the pacific?
Here was my original sketch. But after discussing with Greg, we removed the side pulls and the coin pocket to go with a more sleek design.
I absolutely love this leather. Lots of character and variation in color in regards to direct and indirect sunlight.
It was a cold ass winter so it didn't get as much wear as I'd like but it is starting to take shape.
Thank you! and I keep telling Greg that he just needs to do an upcharge for this leather so if people still want it and are willing to pay for it.. that's their preference. But I think beyond it being not very cost effective to match hides, this leather is hard to source right now. Just a guess
Keep forgetting to post my Manhattan. Absolutely love this jacket and the leather is incredible.
Big thank you to Marc and Jib for their input during the fitting process. Your first hand experience really helped me dial everything in
Nice collection. Any chance you could post pics of all the items with the measurements included? It'll help you move your items much quicker. Just my 2 cents.
