I think that jacket might be a little big for me. I can wear a board racer in a size 34, tho 36 is my sweet spot because those run very slim and I actually like to be able to steer the car while wearing them, but for a normal jacket my numbers usually line up closer with a 34.
And yeah...
That is a beautiful jacket!
If you can rock it and you normally wear a 38 I assume is boxy cut those generally are but the 16" shoulder is small. If its okay to ask what is the pit to pit measurement and how does it fit you throughout?
Thanks everyone! I appreciate the input, and I suppose there is only one way to find out for sure. Just out of curiosity are there any details about Thedi jackets I shouldn’t overlook? At the moment trying to decide wether to keep the chest pocket is my biggest dilemma.
I apologize if its been answered before but for those of us that live in north america is it better to order directly from Thedi or to go through Thurston?
That would be amazing! I would certainly jump on one of those jackets if they ever did. But in the mean time I’ll keep looking for the grail. If anyone spots a 34 leaning the wrong way don’t be shy. A Highwayman in Aero Connolly in good condition is definitely the most desirable vintage Aero out...
I usually do go smaller, but I figured a heavy hb could be a little loose and drape nicely with age. Ideally I go with 16 1/2" shoulder and about 19 1/2" pit, it also depends on the specific cut. It is good to know JL makes such beautiful jackets though. Oh I just noticed the jacket is missing...
I see; I actually like that.. I wonder If I can have the sleeves shortened.
Their website looks pretty break but I will send them an email.
If you ever pick something a little too small let me know, I'm shorter but we have similar dimensions. I'm 5 6" 140lbs, 35.5" chest, 28" waist.
Thank you.. I'm the one being lazy. The name is in the description; I missed it completely.
The quality of that jacket looks amazing. Is JL on par with Aero? It kind of looks slimmer. Higher armholes maybe.
That is a beautiful jacket, I wish they had kept it shorter.. The sleeves are a little too long for me. Just a note, you didn't measure the curvature of the sleeve there; looks like maybe add another inch or so. That would put the sleeves at 25is. Can I ask who makes the jacket?
It is very relaxed lol, wish I had tried a 34.
Sleeves are about 25" long, the armhole is very big, which in turn gives you too much material on the sleeves, I could probably fit both my arms in one sleeve, shoulder to shoulder is about 18 1/2", it should be maybe 16 1/2" to sit squarely on my...
Sure.. It's made of FQHH. No chest pocket or back yoke, I was going for a clean look.
Please forgive the mess and sorry about the quality of the pictures, I didn't have much time.
I'm curious about the differences between a regular 1930s HB and the premier version, and the same for the 1930s...
I understand that almost perfect dilemma all to well, however your jacket is wonderful, in truth if I can get mine to fit anything near as good as yours I will be very happy, my 10 year old hwm can still stand on its own and I love that thing, its a one sided relationship.
And those are...
That jacket fits you like a glove, its truly amazing, that is the fit I'm looking for, second skin throughout. Your arms might be a little longer than mine but we are very similar, I was confused about the waist adjustment but I see what you mean, what is the waist measurement on your jacket and...
Thank you both, I've been around the lounge for some time, and though my add usually keeps me from posting I do feel at home here, you guys are extremely knowledgeable and kind.
I got my first HWM 10 years ago and unfortunately it didn't fit me well, so its been hanging in my room ever since...
