Drakes do a "Roughout" overshirt but inside it is not shiny ,it must therefore be split suede not full grain Roughout ?
This is very misleading, possible to justify the extortionate price tag..it does drape nicely though
I don't know if this really qualifies as a jacket..but it may qualify as a 'shacket'-
Drakes Roughout overshirt ..it's very heavy but I cannot ascertain whether it is waterproofed. Or what type of hide it is made from ..(horse or cow..I'm not an expert like many on here)
I understand Roughout is...
Yeah the 44'' barrel would of been ok if the arm holes had been..farther apart I suppose..Going up to 46'' didnt change that..so I guess I need to include like shoulder to shoulder measurements..I'll ask Chloe..
That front quarter horse hide though..love it..warms up nice in the sun
Ah I see..yeah thats what I shall have to do when its time for the final measurements..inform them it was tight across the arms..I will look forward to your thread then..nice one
Yes this thread is the closest to my problem although I am not certain that arm holes are the problem...
I'm on my second Aero chips, having gone from a 44" to a 46" & while there is plenty of actual chest room,it is still annoyingly tight around the back/shoulders/arms..or one or more of those...
I really like Robbie79's RMC B3..what gorgeous leather..makes me wish I'd not gone with Eastman's 'time worn'..
Anyway I was lucky enough to find this (chest 42")Schott on E bay (Thanks,Dom)..
I just got two dark brown Levi's truckers off e bay..one M & one L..for some reason they saw fit to remove the leather patch by the hanger & cut off the red tabs from by the chest pocket(s)..
Got an Aero waiting to be cut (for summer) & an Eastman I bought a while back for winter
I had one but it was way too long..I lost a lot of weight so the XL ended up way too long..
If youre a 44" go for a M or L..(M is 41-44" whereas L is 44-47" so it can be tricky gauging if you need M or L)..I ended up giving mine to a big lanky friend
22"..just something I read on a thread here..that Aero's was thicker..
Regarding Cockpit..their sizing is terrible..at least the midnight trucker I bought in large..the body was long like a coat & massively wide around my torso) yet it was way too tight under my armpits/shoulders/back..& it cost...
Thats Good to know,cheers John..
I was wondering about how much rain it would withstand..it always seems to rain when I wear my leather jacket(s)..I bought an 'ultra-lite' rain poncho..hoping it will fold up into the map pocket..
Here's my 'time worn' finish..it looks similar..
Very happy with it..wouldnt think it needs Picards for years..the zip was on the wrong side but otherwise a perfect fit..
True the redskin is better but when I ordered it said the rough wear had broken grain so I went for the time worn but that...
Heh yes I think I got mixed up reading another thread..ok so I have placed a preliminary order for the Aero D1..
Kinda galling to think I could of bought an Aero D1 AND Aero horsehide trucker for the price of Cockpit USA's lame 'Midnight trucker'..
I had read that Aeros shearling was 22" vs...
This is a great thread..I came into some money & have been looking for a B3,A B6 or D1 & a trucker jacket & already I have experienced the old buyer's remorse..I looked at over 30 manufacturers..
I ordered the midnight trucker from Cockpit USA..the off peg fit was atrocious..way too long &...
