For those that are interested, HJ and Lock & Co have both confirmed that Shackleton's hat is not theirs. I have been given some more leads so the quest continues!

I am taking Steve on his suggestion and contacting the museum.
I would assume it was black or perhaps navy and made out beaver, which would make sense for the surroundings. Obviously if anyone has any ideas or leads, let me know.

I have a question about Lock & Co Hats' dates on the logo printed directly inside the hats' crown. The current ones say "founded 1676," but some say "established 1676" or "established 1759." Are these others' fake or just older/other logos?
