I’ve decided to sell my Bronson N-1 Deck Jacket, as it just doesn't fit comfortably enough for me to want to wear these days. I really need a size 46, which Bronson does not make, unfortunately. It’s a size 44 / XXL with the following measurements:
Pit-to-Pit = 26”
Shoulders = 21.5”
Sleeve...
No doubt...I WISH it were a 46! I bought this at the same time as a Bronson N-1 and the thing I like about the A-2 over the N-1 is that chest pocket. Perfect for a smart phone (totally what they designed it for, of course)
I’ve decided to sell my Bronson A-2 Deck Jacket. It’s a size 42 / XL, which fit me “just so”. After wearing a couple times, I gave it a cold break-in wash (water only) and it shrunk up a bit more than expected. I can technically put it on, but it’s too small to be comfortably wearable for me...
I've had this jacket for a very long time. Bought "used" a decade ago, but basically unworn by the original owner. I rarely wore this and now that I have a collection of G-1s that fit me well, I'd love to part with it. It's pretty much in mint condition; no signs of wear anywhere on the jacket...
Thanks again to everyone on the patch feedback. Definitely keeping them as-is.
In what seems like a stroke of good luck/fortune, someone posted a size 46 Star Sportswear on eBay and I snapped that one up as well. It's also in fantastic shape, and appears to be of '68 vintage. I must say the...
That's definitely a valid and well-explained point of view on it. Truth be told, I like patched-up "member jackets" and have a few of my own that I earned and am proud of. So I totally get it. I'm leaning that way anyway. Thanks for the input!
Great jacket, by the way. I'd be proud to wear it too.
I recently acquired a batch of G-1s from a seller on eBay: a size 44 Star Sportswear, a size 44 Martin Lane Co, and a size 46 Brill Bros Inc. They're all D models, so not super rare or anything, but they're all in great shape. I asked the seller for measurements, determined they would probably...
I am leaning in that direction. This probably would’ve fit me better (at least in the body) when I was around 240ish a year ago but I’m at 205ish now & it’s roomy to say the least. Arms would still be an issue though...I must just have short arms or something because the sleeves most G-1/M-422...
Yep...a size, possibly two smaller would be ideal. But when it comes to larger-sized original contract G-1s, beggars can't be choosers! Like I said, I might end up donating it to Fivestar as a pattern-builder.
I don’t know how you missed it...it was around for about 5 days! I guess I got lucky this time. ;-) And yeah, these larger sized ones don’t seem to show up very often.
My newest acquisition and first original jacket: a size 46 California Sportswear G-1 Mil-J-7823, courtesy of eBay. The seller said it had been restored (assuming knits, lining, and possibly the mouton) by someone else before he purchased it. Based on the limited information out there, this is...
I got this off of eBay a few months ago without knowing the measurements and it ended up being much too large for me, so I'm looking to move on from it. The jacket is basically brand new, only having been worn a few times by its original owner and once out & about by me. The finish is "Time...
