I'm not actually sure, 6-foot-something? He just has real big feet to start and various age-related maladies have made his feet tend to swell I think. While I realize that isn't exactly what this site is FOR I thought the folks here might have a lead since a lot of y'all collect custom...
Hey all, my grandad’s boots are starting to fall apart and he’s a big guy with a high arch so boots with a slimmer ankle are impossible for him to put on.
Does anyone have suggestions for sites that sell large (USA size 15) or custom-made boots? Thanks a lot in advance.
I would probably stay in my home, so I guess all of my clothing? I think that leather and/or denim would be my go-to because bite protection, depending on the weather.
Okay so it finally came in! It's got nice and sturdy, heavy leather. Think it was worn pretty lightly because it's stiff in a few places but nothing a little wear won't fix. A little more trim around the waist than I would like but the shorter than average sleeves are almost the perfect length...

So I live out in the southwest, where - as some of you may know - the weather can change on a five minute basis and even a relatively cool day can quickly become hot. (It does get cold during the winter mind you, just for a shorter period and there's a great deal of wind involved.)...
Those jackets are really nice! The one I have is a civvie production A-2 as far as I can tell (it has hand warmer pockets anyway) but I have to admit I would like to eventually snag one of these double riders too. They have that classic glamor after all.
Got a an LL Bean goatskin jacket for sale, it’s in pretty good condition other than the knits being a little nibbled. Recently cleaned and conditioned the leather. Willing to accept best offer, just pricing it optimistically.
