[emoji16] Thank you sir! Noted regarding the Lexol. It’s never done me wrong. I’ve used it on my dress shoes in between polishes for years with great results. I’ve even used it on Shell Cordovan...[emoji2958]....[emoji23]

Thank you gentlemen. The hide was in a little rougher shape than I anticipated but there aren’t any glaring issues. Hide was just really dry. I put some Lexol on it for an initial revitalization and it drank it in. After all it is approximately 65 years old... I may add another application in a...
At the moment I don’t have time to wax poetic about the jacket but I wanted to post some pics. In short, I found a new best friend. Looking forward to reading everyone’s critiques later.

I have three pair of selvedge denim jeans. The oldest pair is 2.5 years old. I don’t do laborious work in them or sweat in them. I have a small hand held roller attachment that fits on my vacuum (a shrunken down version of what cleans the carpet) and I’ve used this before to vacuum them inside...
Thank you sir! I look forward to receiving it.
Yeah the removable collar would definitely be a nice option in warmer climates. My Brooks Bros. G-1 inspired flight jacket has a removable mouton collar but I rarely take it off because the jacket looks better with it on. It’s real wool but not...
Thank you sir! I agree. Quick indeed...I’m wondering that myself. The seller said they had a contact in the leather industry that had done work like this before and could do the work on the jacket. I was skeptical at first but hadn’t paid for the jacket yet so I figured if it didn’t turn out...
This is the Star with the collar and cuffs replaced and stencil re-stamped. Can’t wait to get it! I like how the stencil turned out. It’s not perfect which gives it more character in my opinion.

Definitely going with the Star and replacing the original mouton with a fresh, vintage mouton collar. It will also have fresh cuffs. I’ll definitely post fit pics once I receive it.

I agree with your sentiment towards the Star. This is likely what I will purchase. Very nice looking Martin Lane! I see why you’re regretting the sale.

I agree. Any repro I purchase will likely be second hand because I can not justify the cost. I do believe they are worth the price due to the painstaking details and processes some repro makers go to in order to ensure historical accuracy. That just doesn’t come cheap. Thanks for your input...
I now have three solid avenues for a G-1 purchase. I’m very appreciative of the support from the Fedora Lounge community. You guys are great! I may end up eating ramen noodles for a month after this but you’re great! [emoji16] Honestly I’d love to have all three. This G-1 business is a very...
I have quite a few knives but my EDC knives are a Victorinox Swiss Army in my left pocket and a Benchmade in my right.

Search Update:
Brill Jacket - Upon closer inspection the Brill previously had a large patch sewn on the right chest and there are a lot of holes present and there are a few other issues so I’ll be passing on it.
Goodwear - I seriously considered the size 40 listed by NavyDoc. Clearly a...
