Long time, no post.
I recently bought this new Dutch-style (inspired) Brooklyn Cruiser for running errands and have been very pleased with it.

I like this!
The holster was pretty flattened when I go it and being unsure of what the oil and dye would do to my Ruger I dug around my costume box and found a cowboy cap pistol that was pretty much the same size as my single six. I used that to shape the holster and am storing the cap pistol...
OH MY! I honestly had no idea that such a thing would be of value.
Had I known I would have sold it to a collector who would have appreciated its patina of age.
I wasn't trying to restore an antique, I wanted a holster. But what is done is done and I will appreciate it as a quality piece of...
Recent photo from the Monterey Highland Games where the weather was wonderfully cool and overcast so a proper daywear outfit was just the ticket

Not sure if this the right place, but I thought I would share this vintage holster I picked up at a local gun shop for $10
It was sold by Von Lengerke & Antoinne of Chicago so it can't be any newer than the 50's or 60's
It fit my Ruger Single Six perfectly
After a little...
Actually it is a balmoral bonnet and it came from Glengarryhats. I have a couple of their balmorals and like them.

Growing up he was "my" Doctor Who, the first story I watched was "Robot" and only much much later discovered some of the other Doctors. My personal favorite Doctor is Jon Pertwee (though watching some of the new stuff I love Christopher Eccleston ). I was very happy to introduce my young son...
My first mustache effort
Though I have worn a beard for most of the last 20 years I have yet to ever try a mustache. Since I was going to be Paladin from "Have Gun Will Travel" for Halloween I began to grow mine out and shave the rest.
After three trips to different stores and not find a...
Edward,
The tartan is Nicholson muted hunting from Batley's which is a smaller weaving mill. My wife is a Nichol so this tartan honors her and her family. As for ghillie brogues, I have a pair but tend to leave them for black tie occasions (I personally think a regular shoe works just fine.)...
Been a while since I posted (very busy Spring) glad to see all the Gents and Ladies here on the Fedora Lounge are still showing the world that classic style never fades. You all are looking great!
Here's a recent photo of me with a few new aquisitions.
The diced hose may not be some...
Two more recent photos of my Colonial style pith helmet from the Village Hat Shop
At this year's Sacramento Highland Games where my lovely wife and I went with safari garb highland style!

From yesterday at the Tartan Day event at the historic Ardenwood Farm in Fremont
The weather was just perfect for classic highland daywear
I wasn't the only one who thought so (me with my friend Casey)

Steve,
I'm in the South Bay which is not quite as cool as San Francisco. Our Winter this year has been a bit harsher than normal hence I have gotten a bit more use from my Wooly Pullys than normal. As for my Highland Attire, I am of Scottish descent (Galbraith) and a Scottish Country Dancer...
Had a great find in a second hand shop on another Wooly Pully today in blue and remembered this thread. For the fun of it I took pictures of my two
Here's my black one
And the blue one
I suspect the blue one is older as it has buttons on the epaulettes whereas the black one...
From our "Spirit week" at our elementary school where I volunteer. The day's theme was "crazy hat day". In the morning when I help in the library I wore my fez but for the afternoon Running Club I coach I switched to my Worsley style pith helmet
