    Boater faction!

Thanks! Unfortunately not any company mark. I would recommend 1900 to 1930 American Hatter volumes (available on Google Books). They will have listings of Hat and Straw Hat Companies. Look for companies that might match "M" "H" "Co" or some combination. Also the "DIROGO" mark.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

    P. & C. Habig Vienna Hatters "Export Quality" "Ventilo" "Camber" possible production date 1952. This one is unusual because it's the only example of an American Market P. & C. Habig Wien Soft Felt Hat, that I have encountered, that doesn't have Trachten (Folk) elements. I found this Soft Felt...

    Boater faction!

This is a real beauty! I am fairly certain the straw braids were not made in the United States. Are there paper labels behind the sweatband? Can you take photos? Also photos of the entire liner plus sweatband. Also marks on the sweatband. I believe the word under the stag is "DIROGO"? The...

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

My feeling is the Swiss Hat Industry was very reliant on outside sources especially for Felt (hoods, capelines and semi finished hats). I am not aware of any Swiss Felt production.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Mayser "Superbe", possibly mid 1950s and a recent find. Mayser's Hutmanufactur, Ulm a. D., February 28, 1896, found these receipts back in 2016. January 4, 1896

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

No detailed information but Eichenberger & Cie. appear to go back to at least the early 20th Century at the location listed "Eichenberger & Cie. Goldbach Bern". I had to visit the Library Congress back in 2012 to get the following info from the "Kelly's Directory, Europe 1963". There...

Mayser "Superbe", 60 cm possibly mid 1950s. This is a really great looking Camber form. The light Brown Felt is of high quality and pliable. Very thin Over Welt Brim with a Mid Width Band / Bow + Wind Cord. Also works great Snapped Brim. Open Crown
