The vents do work ... yes. However, due to a number of factors, I did not receive this jacket until our summer was well underway. The summer temps in NorCal where I live are in the 90s on the regular and up into the 100s. I don't see myself wearing this jacket in the peak summer months as the...
The technology these days is good ... the jacket and my armored shirt are my best additions for riding IMO. This armored shirt/jacket is phenomenal. Flexible micro lock armor, fits kinda like a wetsuit to keep the armor in place, and has Class AA abrasion resistance. Highly perforated and almost...
Im 5'7" and 155lb with an almost 40" chest. I chose this size to run a little large on me for layering (thick mid-layers or armored shirt). In addition, the removable liner takes up some space. The pit to pit on this jacket is 22.5.
I literally just got it yesterday so I have not had a chance to try it out. Peacoat above said he liked how they functioned. I will give it a test Friday morning and report back.
Yup ... I have had some pretty expensive jackets and I think the quality of this jacket is about on par (or close) with most ... and the fit for riding (side laces handy) is the best out of all so far.
For those of us who ride a lot ... and in many climates ... you are absolutely right. This is about function on the bike ... and although we all like style ... a fashion show on the bike is not my top concern.
While the jackets posted here have great style and quality ... let's face it, most are not very versatile for riding.
I just received this riding jacket from Fox Creek. Here are some details from Fox Creek website:
Crafted from 1.4-1.6mm thick, supple, full grain leather.
Dual front, rear...
I had a question on the front pocket zipper pull ... it is NOT missing ... just tucked into the pocket, as I prefer not to have dangles. I will update the post with a pic of the pocket and pull later today. Thanks!
A beautiful rich, brown halfbelt in thick horsehide made by Aero. A very nice
Highlander wool liner.
Approx measurements:
P2P: 21"
Shoulders: 18.5"
Back: 24"
Sleeves: 23.5"
Bottom hem: 19"
Well made and in near new condition. It has one flaw ... about 3 loose stitches in a pit seam. This...
Looking for heavy duty cross zip for riding. I'm leaning towards ordering new from Fox Creek ... but will see what may be available on the forum.
Ideal measurements:
P2P 23 - 23.5
Back 25
Sleeves: 26
Shoulders 18.5
Bottom hem: 19
I bought it at a great price and got good use out of it. If I hadn't gained some weight... would keep it and get the zip replaced (although I had been using it that way for a while). I think its a no-brainer for someone even having to get the zip replaced. Happy to spread goodwill and good deals...
This is a cool jacket man ... padded Thedi CR
in waxed cowhide from the master. :) The jacket has substantial weight with soft, pliable hand leather. Well broken in ...
The tab off the zipper broke ... so although it zips up/down ... it needs to be replaced ... and the price reflects that...
