Handwarmers can be incorporated into the vertical slanted seams that go down from the chest pockets and you wouldn’t know they are there unless somebody told you.
As to the short and boxy look of the Type III, yes the Levi’s 557xx from the early 60s is short and boxy (less so than the type II)...

When I first saw the movie trailer it looked like the Sears d pocket but I could tell the leather didn’t look like that of a 80yo jacket. Now it’s all clear. Cool jacket nonetheless.

Selling this 50s Sears Hercules cross zip in horse hide. Various similar iterations of this model have been produced through out the 50s and early 60s. Not an expert but I think this is one of the earliest iterations of this model and rarer than the steer hide/later version.

No size tag but it feels like a generous 40 or a 42 to me, see measurements.
It’s in pretty good condition leather/zip/knit wise. The mouton on the collar it’s in amazing shape...
Well all I know is that if I go on their jp website and look in the leather jacket category 38s and 40s are largely sold out for the styles I like. But yes real mccoys is less niche than other brands. Don’t forget that abroad you also typically find a fraction of their full catalogue.
