Many of you probably remember this jacket of mine from last year. I have had only praises for this from many of you, but I have decided to pass it along. Probably someday I will re-do this differently a bit.
It's heavy weight Horween CXL Steerhide but now it's broken in quite good and started...
It just the fact that I am always aware that I am wearing the jacket. I could be that it's not yet fully broken in( I don't know how fully broken in jacket feels like) , but my arm starts to feel numb after it folded for some time.
I have no prior experience in the weight of a heavy hide jacket, but this one is heavy AF. When I bought, this was the last batch of CXL steer hide they had left and they warned me that it's going to be heavy and I could wait for next batch, which I ignored in all the excitement :).
I would agree too. I didn't baby this jacket and took all the advice I got from the forum to break in except for showering with it, that was taken care of by Irish weather anyway.
And it started to become soft very quickly for me, now I dont have anything to compare the 100%broken in stage of...

Some of them are from moving furnitures and some of them from roadside brick wall on my way to work. More I try to stay clear more I brush it against it seems. :)
So made my peace with it.:p
I usually wear size small(sometimes medium) for shirt sizes. I'm 5'10" and weigh about 70kg and jeans waist 32-33. This jacket if I remember correctly is ;
Pit to Pit: 21”
Shoulders: 17.5”
Arm Length: 24”
Back: 23.5”
Waist at bottom hem: 20”
With this size it fits very good with still...
It very well could be, they didn't have any thinner cxl and I was impatient after 2months of waiting. I dont feel the weight now but it's still substantial.

Cargo pockets are actually functional but I hardly use'em. If u r not big fan of them or don't mind altering the look I can suggest going without them. Another positive thing is it would bulk up less without those.
