New day work set up.
Went down to the Rios/Ab/Olathe factory this past weekend and pickup these roughouts for day work.
My previous Ab stove pipes needed a resole and the local guy took the heel down to a roper profile. Some of these younger horses sure need a Rowel so I like a good ledge...
Have a few questions about this stetson I want to purchase:
What’s a fair price to pay?
And how easy is it to uncurl a brim? Would I have to take it to a hat shop or would I be able to jiffy steam and iron it out?
I don’t mind a curl in the back but I would want to flatten it in the front...
I believe lucchese has a boot similar, but not in a blue color.
Piteado stitching is very nice, I believe the old ways used fiber from a plant.

I remember one summer I killed one that was harassing my horse on the ranch, we put it in some sort of vinegar mixture I can’t remember what it was exactly but we found it in the google machine.
Then we used some nails and racked the hide to a cedar plank.

Any products y’all can recommend that I can use to care for my snake skin boots? I have two pair, one diamondback, one Karung snake. The diamondback are very “scaley” I guess you would say. I want to keep them from drying out.
Thanks

I never liked eel, but when I saw these lucchese up for sale locally I picked them up, I like the vertical stitch rather than the diagonal that most usually do. The seams are well done and the box toe it very sturdy.
These are well loved but are still in great shape. The color and the top...
I like the colors and patterns that are able to be made with that. And the toughness being that they are calcium deposits. I was very happy to take these home mostly because of the great quality of them. Not sure who made these for the Mahan brand but they are tagged as El Paso made, could be...
Home for the holidays and I stopped by the Rios factory store to see what they had in stock. You can usually stop by and pick up sample boots or customs that where never paid for or returned. All the boots are new and you can find some great one off customs.
I got myself a pair of soft denim...
I order or buy Anderson Bean/Rios/Olathe (same company these days) with a “hybrid” sole. You get the the subtle feel of a leather sole but the traction and high wear of a rubber sole, I’ve only worn holes around the ball area, I do notice a lot of folks wearing holes up by the shank. I never...
Dean is friend of mine, his business Diamond D Leather does all sorts of work his boots are my favorite I like the tooled collars he does. I’m saving up for a pair.
