I have been there summer and late November, As you said it can be a pretty area but in the winter it is cold. I live in upstate NY and our winters can be hard, the difference for me is we don't get the -0 temps as often as they do in Montana ,Wyoming. I watch the weather in Sheridan WY and...
I am with you Joao! Dip front and back and almost flat on the sides. I am not a tall or large man but a round face and broad shoulders. And most importantly my wife likes this style on me!
Art wanted me to get my order in and a deposit before June as he told me the same thing! I hate to wait as much as anyone but I want to make sure before I place my order. So many choices make it hard, I have always stayed away from fancy boots as work boots seem easier to keep up with. Keep us...
I have been away from the computer for sometime now as spring has turned into summer and I am getting busy so have not spent time on the form.
Love the choice of the PBB you are having built! I do really like my new PBB boots they are breaking in nice. My PBB are the best fitting boots I have...
I like Merino Wool the best. I find tall socks to not be good in the warmer weather and Wool is worse for me. I like old Thorlo Liner Socks for boots that fit tight, however they are not made anymore.
I tried them in the past, one issue for me with many socks is being to thick. Not sure why most makers seem to think you need padding on the top of the foot along with the bottom. Most be because I have high instep I think this way.
So I have a question for all who wear cowboy boots. What do you all wear for socks? I have tried many different types of socks over the years and found few are good. Wool in winter is best.
You all's responses should be interesting!
Yes I have a wide foot with a high instep and arch. I don't like low heals but the 2 1/4" is not good for me on concrete either. 2" seems to be my sweet spot, I have worn 2" heals for years. I will probably Order 2" heals for my next pair of boots from Paul Bond.
Stringmaster, what is the heal height of the boots that fit you better? My new ones fit well and have a 2 1/4" heal which is a 1/4" higher than I am used too. Other than pushing on my toes when I am on my feet to long they fit great.
Thank you all for your comments! They are nice boots! I have been away all weekend and took them with me and wore them most of the time. Don't normally do that as I usually rotate my boots but Art said to wear them all weekend to help break them in. The fit is better then any other boots, As I...
I Received my new Paul Bond Boots yesterday! After dealing with Art who has been good I did receive boots close to what I ordered. Fit is very good, these are the first boots I have been able to pull on and have my high instep not pinched along with fitting in other areas of my foot. As I have...
Update on my new Paul Bond Boots:
Spoke with Art at Paul Bond Boots today and he said my boot were going have the soles, pegging, and heals installed this week and should ship end of week or Monday at the latest. He did not send me any photos of the boots during construction as I had hoped he...
They are beautiful boots! The combination looks great and I am not much for exotics but PB did a great job on them! I wonder how much they would cost to have built today?
I think there is merit to both arguments. That said, if it were me looking to buy them the price would be high; that is how it goes for me! Unless the store owner has a need for money or space I am guessing if he knows what they are the price will be on the higher side.
