They are starting to feel better! Took some wearing through gritted teeth / different sock / insole combos, but they've started to give in to my feet a bit. So much so that I managed to wear the last two days in a row haha.
Here's some pics of how they're looking after a few weeks on and off wear.
That's interesting @Blackadder , on other forums I've seen that people find them relatively comfortable with little heel slip but I guess everyone's experience is different.
I'm on my second day of wearing them and they do feel a bit more comfortable but I don't feel that they're broken in yet...
Thanks @Carlos840 that's really helpful info. I don't think I'm experiencing more than 3cm of heel lift but it's quite hard to tell / measure what with my foot being inside the boots. I have a think insole and am wearing 2 pairs of socks, but that's giving me the problem of creating too much...
Thanks guys, you're making me feel like / wanna feel like they fit!
Hopefully with some insoles / heel pads they'll work.
The foot is fine really, I'm just not sure how much heel lift ones meant to have and if these have too much!
So I went and picked up my engineers from the depot (I paid the fine and got a complaint form - hopefully I will get some £ back but not much by the looks of things). The attractions are beautiful but I'm unsure about the sizing!
They feel quite snug on the toes / foot but very roomy in the...
I too am having to pay some kind of admin fee / express delivery fee, even though the item was meant to arrive in 3 days and due to the customs hold up its still lost in the system somewhere. Very frustrating and doesn't seem like there's much I can do about it apart from not order expensive...
Thanks @wdw I'll find the form and give that ago. I've been in touch with hms and it looks like it is a legit charge - 30% of the items cost etc. Frustrating as had I known I might have ordered differently
Still in engineer boot hell - my attractions have arrived in the UK but I am having to pay an unexpected import / vat tax of £250! Seriously hope they fit.. Has anyone else experienced these extortionate charges?
I believe so too. I'll be interested to see responses from others when they receive theirs. I actually saw a pair of the SJC acorn engineers up for sale on here today, so guessing there's a few unhappy folk. I'm just glad to know that their is actually a problem with them and it wasn't just in...
@wdw I didn't get a time line from SJC. He'll get my boots back by tomorrow / Monday and well go from there. We haven't discussed refunds yet, he just asked me to send the boots back which is a start. Ordered the attractions straight from the site. They were pricey, £600 inc delivery. I believe...
