I love that the hat has a date stamp. I also just picked up a Wegener with a 1960 date stamp on it. Maybe that's common with German hats? @mayserwegener would know =) And yeah, the skimmer is a new fav for me. Couple newbies to share! Had to wear something British while watching HBO's hilarious coverage of the royal wedding. Went with this new-to-me skimmer - British make by way of Toronto Canada. Vintage Herbert Johnson flatcap, made in Scotland. Not sure about the era... There's plastic over the crest, so it can be no earlier than 50's. The size tag is embroidered, not printed... Modern-modern HJ flatcaps don't seem to have the plastic protection on them so... My gut says 60's or 70's...- blueAZNmonkey
