I have a US/ A jacket and i am very happy with what i got. it very tough and you do get alot for what you pay for. the reason i went with US/A is that they do run long and that is what i need. I just cant see spending a grand on a jacket
Hankh you have nailed it!! the guys that are out in the field couldent care less
about how authentic there jackets are!!! ( comfort and lots of pockets) bingo!!! I showed my US/A horse hide to a B-26 pilot.. he told me he wish he
would have one from them back in WWII..why i said.. because...
Wolfeman i bought the one from Cabelas a few years ago and i like it just fine
most importantly it fit me good since i am 6'8" i bought a 2XLT it has held together good. it has a baggy feel to it. i can wear a sweatshirt under it easly

I myself find some of those "rants" funny as well. At the Front's "Rant" archive (action dolls) is one that is really good and i had cramps from laughing it was so funny. I am in other hobbys and there is one of these guys in almost every vendors page, some are funny and some are insulting.
Tom
hope you guys like the US/A jackets. I like mine, i have had it for about two years and every time i put it on i like it better. I have seen some of the other
A-2' out there, Good Wear, Aero, ect while they are very nice jackets, in the end for me i couldent justify spending almost a grand on...
I am 6'8" and a 48T from US/A was a little short. so Shaul made a 50T for me
and it fits good. as far as break-in all i did was take a nap on the couch with it on a few times, i have had my seal/HH for a about two years and its looking good.
JJ i had problems just getting ahold of customer service when i was looking for my first A-2 and when i finally did i was told "no we dont do things like that" (im 6'8" and have to special order all my jackets) went to US/A and I am a happy camper!
It looks good to me. I ordered a horse/seal from US/A and i love mine. its a little tight in the arms and shoulders when i wear a sweatshirt under it but i like the "mega thick" horse hide US/A uses on there A-2's
Tom
<<<<<<<<<<<<<here's mine
havent been here in a while... but from what everybody said Picards is the stuff to use.. BTW i have looked all over town for this stuff and never found it. then in the most unsuspecting place i found some... at a gun show!
Tom
my take on tattoo's... well I was in the navy from 1981 to 1985 and the only
people that got "tats" were the guys in the service. at the time they were not popular outside the military. my observation is they got more popular in the mid to late 1990's at least thats when i started to see them...
Hey guys here is a pic of my new jacket. hard to see but I had Jerome do a "Wright" arrow head patch and Shaul but it on in just the right place. I am standing infront of one of "Liberty Bell"
engines, It made a visit to Denver about a month ago.
US NAVY from 1981 to 1985 was a aviation structural mech on A-6 Intruders
(VA-75) the Sunday Punchers!! out of Nas Oceana Va Beach Va, did two med IO cruises on the USS John F Kennedy and sat off the cost of beruit after the attack on the marine barracks in 1983. got out in 1985 moved to Denver...
If i may ask...were could i find Picards?? I live in Denver I have been to shops
that deal in leather goods and every time i ask for Picards I get looks as if i just came from mars. "sorry never herd of it" answer.
Tom
Im 6'8" and 270 I ordered a 48T then took it to the big&tall store and had one of the guys eval it with it on me. they said i needed one size larger. ok thats
a custom order..I called Shaul and he told me he could do a 50T. a week later
it showed up and it fit good. I also had a patch sewn on...
Wow.. I was thinking Shauls shop to be at least 3000 sq feet. when I figured out the pricing on a US/A jacket compared to an Aero the aero was still 200
bucks more than the US/A, plus i do like the the (mega-tough) horsehide:D
Tom
Call up Shaul he will answer any questions you may have. i bought an A-2 in
seal horse and had it custom made because of my hight and even had a patch sewn on were i wanted and he did it right!!! as far as the drop down
menue he has for each model of jacket, you just pick the one you want...
