It is a super jacket and I'm glad to finally own one,. Even though it's a rather blousy fit, it's the closest I'm going to get without spending lots of money and I may fill out a bit one day!
Aero actually saw the pics on this thread and said it was a good fit. I don't think I'll get it...
I hadn't thought about patching it up as I quite like the plain Jane look. I think if I did ever want to spruce it up, Aero do occasionally have some scaled down patches that might work.
A custom painted insignia would look cool but I usually wear a rucksack so it would probably never get worn...
Thanks all,
It had a bit of a light drain on it this morning and afternoon and also got a few muddy paw prints added by an over excited labrador which I was a bit upset about at the time but there's no scratches. Scratches are inevitable at some point though so I have to get over the instinct...
Thanks everyone for confirming that I've made the right decision. Removing the tag felt like a ceremony ha!
I've just been wearing it around the house and after just 30 minutes, it already feels more a part of me and is more inclined to move with me rather than trying to make me stand rigid...
Guys,
Well, what can I say other than thank you, I'm going to keep it!
As a relatively new member, I wasn't sure what kind of responses I would get but I'm overwhelmed by the positivity and feel very welcome as a member of this forum.
I will wear my first proper jacket with pride and after...
Thanks everyone for your helpful and insightful replies. It all really helpful to my decision making.
Oddly enough, it actually feels quite small and short - especially in the body. I think this is probably down to the fact that all my clothes are too big and baggy so that's what I'm used to...
Hi all,
I've been searching for a decent leather jacket for most of my adult life - I'm almost 38!
Not a big problem for 99% of men but I'm the size of a child so a massive problem for me. After wasting several hundred pounds on various secondhand and low end jackets, I took a chance and...
Hi all,
Does anyone have anything for sale that would fit a 5'1", slim chap? A large boy's size would also do. I don't mind something a bit baggy - I expect it but being able to get my fingers through the cuffs is a must!
Would prefer HH but would consider anything! Budget up to £300 (GB...
14 months on and I'm still looking ha!
Would this be a terrible purchase?

Thanks so much for your reply. It's comforting to hear that I'm not alone - although you are a giant next to me!
I know that there's a jacket out there for me somewhere. The Langlitz show that jackets do exist in smaller sizes. Sadly it's far in excess of my budget.
I was briefly considering...
Any opinions on this jacket?

It looks like it would fit but is it a good purchase and would it be up to being worn daily?
Cheers,
Matt
Thank you. I spotted that one about an hour ago!
I got all excited when I saw the listing but when I looked at the measurement, it still looks to be quite 'long'. Being steerhide, I think the sleeves will stay very straight and I'd not be able to loose any length from creases. It's a good price...
Hi Edward,
Thanks for your message. I'm 36. Sadly my chances of getting another growth spurt is very unlikely now!
I'm avidly searching eBay. I see plenty of jackets that I like but none that look like they'll fit. I'm realistic that almost everything will be a bit too big. I don't mind a...
I quite like the look of this but is it a genuine Cooper?*

*Edit... The power of Google says NO!
Thanks for the input everyone. Much appreciated.
Yes, I'm in the UK. Sorry, I should have mentioned that earlier!
The ALC jacket in the first link measures well for me. Jackets that fit tend to have an inside arm length of 15 - 16". ALC seem to be unpopular on here though so I don't know if...
Hi guys,
The options I have are:
1. Buy the Aviation leathercraft jacket in my first link - looks like it might more or less fit me.
2. Buy a Schott B3 in a 32 from Japan. Not sure how small these actually are.
3. Buy something that's definitely too big and get it altered.
4. Wait to see if by...
