oh thank goodness I found you!! I share all of these problems - super fine, thin hair that is straight as a poker!! It won't hold curl if there is the slightest bit of humidity near me, but I do like a product called Ecoly Willow Bark heat curling lotion. They make a setting lotion too, but...
The Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse - wow. It was written and takes place in the 20's, and there's a lot of references and imagery from the jazz age. And the ending...on my.
The Clown by Heinrich Boll - one of my favoritest books.

snagged these when vacationing in Montreal. I live in portland, and the vintage shopping is actually better here, but this just happens to be my most recent purchase! :D
I'm going to Montreal in July fort the first time and I can hardly wait! Especially since everyone has such wonderful things to say about it. I still could use some advice on what to do, where to wander, where to dance (swing!) Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Merci beaucoup!
Thanks, ya'll! It was a lucky (and cheap) find!
Yes, it has a zipper, and it has a little stretch to it. I certainly wouldn't trust myself to take it in, but I think it's just a little too baggy for a swimsuit. I was hoping to find one that fit a little more like a girdle :)
I just pinned up all of my hair, and then made finger rolls and stuck a flower on the side. My hair is really thin, so it stays up once it's secured in the rolls! Can't imagine trying this with thick hair...
This was my Saturday night 'do. I'm not sure why my face looks strange...maybe because I have a strange face! But my hair stayed up through hours of dancing. Yay!
Part of 'Into the Wild' was filmed here in Portland, not 2 miles from my house. I stood around and watched Sean Penn do his directing thing.
Also, one of my vintage dresses and I were extras in an indie short period film called 'Berlin.' Takes place on the brink of WWII. Coming out soon!
Oh My Goodness!!!! This is what makes my heart tingle and squeal^
