Here's a picture of my grandfather Benjamin Lobou with his straw boater. This was taken in New York, probably in the early 1920's. I like how most of the men in the background have boaters too.

The Ponte Rialto boaters are still being made in Venice and imported by Capas. These are sold through Village Hat Shop. DelMonico says their boater is the same hat, and I suspect the Tesi brand boaters sold by a few retailers is also the same hat. I'm not familiar with the Florence boater.
