I don’t know why they don’t do sleeves with 2 linings... a warm lining next to the leather and the satin/rayon type lining on top of that next to your skin. That way it’s warm and easy to get on and off.

That may require more than steam. Soak the brim, shape it the way you like, then set the hat on a gallon milk jug and let it dry overnight.

Anyone here seen an Avalon in Tempest? I’m kind of interested in one but I’m having a hard time telling exactly what the color is like...

A custom Raiders jacket from Wested could be made with slant pockets and would look a bit like a hwm, but would only set you back maybe $300. Not sure if they will do stormcuffs; you just have to ask. They also make one called the Walker that is similar, and one called the Skyfall that is...
PS for what it’s worth a lot of guys are into the old beat up broken in rough looking jacket— that’s the “never condition” crowd. Others like to maintain their leather pieces like new— that’s the “frequently condition “ crowd. I’m in the second camp.

Lexol is good but because it is a liquid it can saturate the leather and make it soggy feeling. So it sort of depends on how dry the leather is and how receptive it is to the conditioner. For instance if it’s a shiny jacket with some rough dry spots you’ll get uneven absorption... it will really...
Nice jacket and a great fit. Should last a long time too, I’d think.

I would think the model has been around a long time but must have gone by a different name before the movie came out (1982).

They have several lasts supposedly good for wide flat feet. The 55, the Northwest, 1970, MP, and 610. I have...
If you’re wanting to stretch them, don’t use oil. Mix 50/50 91% alcohol and water. Spray it on and rub it in with your fingers. Then wear them. Or use shoe trees with an extra insole or two in the boot to stretch them. A few treatments like this and they will be right.
