Vintage Clothing Irons,....?
Came back from a friend's place,....picked up some cast iron stuff for the wife and my Mom for Christmas. While there, I saw a few old Vintage clothes irons. After looking at them I picked four out. Two old travel irons, one with bakelite handle. Here are three of them as the other is...- cowboy76

I dont have number for you as they constantly fluctuate and I'd have to phone people to find out. Well, at what point did I say not to conserve energy? Well, the power is out in parts of Oklahoma to my knowledge,...you dont hear anyone saying how wonderful life is without power there.... ...BUT THEY SURE ARE CONSERVING A LOT OF ENERGY!;)- cowboy76

No its not, but people dont find out for themselves, they just go by popluar opinion without actually doing more research than going to Wikapedea or the AP Press. I'm in the industry, I work to fix the boilers, (no one is telling me anything I dont already know, so why the argumentative...- cowboy76

Your observations are correct about some of the percentages,....BUT what you're not taking into effct is the fact that things in the industry are changing very fast. I know as its something taht affects my job, the way we work, etc. Again, if you take a look at that link I posted for your guys...- cowboy76

What does forests, glaciers and fossil fuels have to do with using old-time light bulbs?? I work as a boilermaker in HUGE industrial power plant boilers. Steam boilers. Many "are" coal fired boilers, however, I see them being turned into other fuel burning steam boilers in the near future...- cowboy76

Just saw this pop up on yahoo,.... I can understand the push for energy conservation, I'm all for it, but this is a virtual outlawing of,....incandescent Light bulbs?? That's a little rediculous, if you want to use old light bulbs in your nice antique chanderlier that's your choice, not...- cowboy76

WWII Boots - Service, Jump, etc.
The service boots from WWII Impressions are supposed to be well made and very comfortable also. I have a pair of the russet rough out boots of theirs and they held up for years,..they're shot now though!! I killed 'em!;) -

Yes, yes you can. That's a very poor defense. Its about the soul and heart of a nation in relation to another nation. All of the conflicts in WWII were battles for EVERY nation's survival! So, that is an irrelavant staement. So, yes, it is all the same. Everyone's fight meant as much to them... -

Cleaning ties?
I did the same thing with woolite,..but did not use the container,...just let sit in the sink and swirel them,...though I like you're way MUCH better,...next time I'm going to do it the way you did it. Good advice!! I also used Oxyclean,..worked for me very well,..no breakdowns yet,..YET.- cowboy76
