Very nice!! That's exactly what I had in mind, that certain '80s suits might be close enough that they could be adapted to fill the role of an earlier suit that I wouldn't feel bad about putting a little wear and tear on. Golden Era Things You've Revived Or Repaired For Use
Thanks. It puts out 3 legs of 60v 60hz power, with 120V across any two phases, so it's 3 separate 120V 60HZ circuits. They're hot/hot instead of hot/neutral, similar to shipboard power, and i've tested multiple household 120V loads on it with no problems. It does have to be used as a standalone...- Brownie

I also save cast iron. This is a small sample of what I've pulled from yard sales and scrap heaps and restored. It amazes me that people get rid of this stuff when it only needs a good cleaning.- Brownie

No reason I guess, that's true enough. Thanks for the replies all. I don't have any vintage clothing stores nearby, but I'll check out a few antiques places and see if I can scare up a real 30s or 40s suit. -

Hey guys, I'm new to the vintage suit thing so don't beat me up too bad on this question. Looking at 3 piece suits, I notice that there are a lot of wool suits for sale online and at thrift stores, etc. that would have to be from the late 80s-early 90s, but to me they look a lot like the 1930s... -
